It’s reaching record high temperatures for this time of the year here. Ouch! Seasonal reads are some of the best reads. It puts you in the mood for the season, especially if you aren’t experiencing the current seasonal vibes. The Watchers: The Tomb by Carl Novakovich John Gideon, a former homicide detective turned P.I., has dug too deep and discovered the truth about the world while searching for the only family he has left. John…

    Healing the Orphaned Heart (ARC)

Spoiler Free Review Book ruts are one of the worst things for a bookworm, which is exactly what I have been in… yet again. Until now. I received an ARC of Healing the Orphaned Heart by Rebecca Lange. It is set to be released June 4th, 2021. Be sure to grab a copy on Amazon! Have you ever read a book that was like taking a step back in time yet felt like you were living it in present time? That is exactly what Healing the Orphaned Heart delivers. Rebecca Lange writes beautifully. Amongst her words are hidden gems of lessons taught and lessons learned. Many might disagree with me…

    Making Time As a Bookworm

A while back there were quite a few people in the reading community asking other readers (otherwise known as bookworms) how they make time for reading. Amongst that was also the topic of self care and social media burnout. Before adulting happens (unfortunately it does happen!) the life of a bookworm is filled with libraries, bookstores, book clubs, etc. No matter how hectic your schedule is there is always a way to make time for reading as well. Not to mention being able to read for 12 hours straight or longer! Bathroom and meal breaks are allowed, of course. Let’s not forget parents having too much concern about too much…

    Author Shoutout – Rebecca Lange

Shoutout to Rebecca Lange, author of Grandfather’s Will, for being a great author and an awesome person to talk to! If you aren’t already following her on Instagram then I assure you that you will want to. Even if you aren’t a bookworm she is worth following. She posts some of the funniest memes that I have ever seen online. She is interactive with her followers and is an all around great person. Please don’t forget to show authors some support by purchasing their books and leaving a book review. A book review doesn’t have to be lengthy and it can simply be a star (multiple star, of course!) rating.…

    Lady Whistledown Explodes Netflix

Fans of period movies and books were ecstatic to find out that Bridgerton was coming to Netflix. It’s not that often a good period piece is released that isn’t in book format. Pride and Prejudice, anyone? Bookworms and movie fans alike have always debated on their favorite actress that played Elizabeth Bennet. My personal favorite is Keira Knightley. I have seen that version of Pride and Prejudice at least a dozen times. It forever remains one of my favorite movies. Oddly, I have yet to see Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Bridgerton is part of the Netflix Original lineup. It was released December 25th, 2020. Upon releasing, Bridgerton, blew up…

    Out of Darkness

During my zombie book phase I saved a bunch of zombie themed books to my TBR (to be read) list, including the first book of The Starborn Saga by Jason D. Marrow. Out of Darkness is set in a dark dystopian world, but is a little unique in its book theme. Not only does it have zombies, but it also includes characters with super powers. Mora, the main character, has a large journey ahead of her. Zombies and saving her village are only a portion of that journey. New found powers with so much uncertainty in this dark world is not an easy feat. There is some romance thrown into…
