My Fall Favorites

As requested from Mind. Beauty. Simplicity, today’s post for Blogoween is focused on my Fall favorites. Be sure to give her a follow. She has an amazing blog and a beautiful Instagram account!

This year I am trying to embrace holidays a little more, at least my favorite ones. The past few years have been very heavy with circumstances in life and mental health… to put it lightly.

Fall is one of my favorite seasons. What is your favorite season?

Pumpkin Season

I’m not a fan of a lot of pumpkin flavored food and drinks but I love pumpkins! Decorating, growing and carving them. Pumpkin patches look like they are a lot of fun, though I have never been to one. Farmers Markets are a great place to go during the Fall season. You can scope out a lot of the beautiful fall fruit and root veggies. Some Farmers Markets put a lot of effort into decorating with hay bales, pumpkins, etc.

Hot Cocoa & Marshmallows

My absolute favorite drink when Fall begins is hot cocoa. Extra marshmallows, please! Homemade and Nestle (premade) are my favorites but I will drink whatever brand is available. What’s your most favored drink during this season?

Sweater Weather

Sweaters, scarves, socks, boots, oh my! Fall is officially sweater weather, depending on your climate. Unfortunately, it is hot here most of the time. That doesn’t stop my closet from being overloaded with jackets and coats… and anything else made for a cold climate!

Fall Colors

Tree leaves changing colors (again… not seen here) is a beautiful sight. Once, the leaves did turn a beautiful color here. A large oak tree in my front yard stood tall and proud. The leaves spread out on the branches, creating a fluffy (or not so fluffy) blanket of red, yellow and orange hues. It was like seeing pumpkin spice, cinnamon and fire burning in a fireplace all at once.

Caramel Apples

Candied apples are very popular amongst people but caramel apples will forever be my favorite. There is a candy shop in Tennessee that has a large collection of caramel apples with various coatings on them. The style of the candy shop was like walking into a black and white movie. I wish I could remember the name of that shop!

Books, Cozy Fires & Roasting Marshmallows

Whether it be a bonfire or a fireplace, cozy fires in the Fall (winter too!) are the best. Reading beside one is even better! Roasting marshmallows can be fun or dangerous, depending on how impatient you are. S’mores are definitely my number one favorite Fall/Winter treat. Experimenting with different s’mores concoctions is fun but the original s’more is definitely my favorite. All you need is a hershey chocolate bar, graham crackers and large marshmallows.

My list of Fall favorites is never-ending. What are your Fall favorites?
