Texas Chainsaw Massacre Debut
How many remakes can they possibly create for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, ? It’s easy to lose count! Netflix debuted their very own Texas Chainsaw Massacre film on February 18th, 2022. It’s the ninth installment of the franchise. Netflix Only films can be either a big hit or a big miss. Was this a hit or a miss? After 48 years of hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally disrupt his carefully shielded world in a remote Texas town. Source: IMDB A character from the past also returns, which could be a shock point since it is a Netflix Only film. Many of the remakes…

Most Popular Post Of All Time
Hey Readers! So, I was curious as to which post is the most popular since switching to the just-jenna.net domain. Doing a little spring cleaning on Twitter led me to diving into past blog posts. Gotta say… I was surprised by all of you. Blueberry Sweet Rolls Win Surprisingly, this was the most popular post! What was thought to be a short lived and unpopular post, is still getting views! Most Popular Post Witchy Valentine’s Day This was a test run with the very first makeup swatch that I ever created. I’m sure Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is what made this post so popular, though, and first runner up! 1st…

10 “Old” Movies to Watch This Halloween
Movies and books are my addictions. Growing up, I watched a lot of horror movies. Some people prefer old movies and some prefer new movies. No judgement on movie ages here! If it’s good I’ll watch it. This list of old movies (in no particular order) to watch on Halloween contains some classic and not-so-classic choices. 1. Halloween There is one tradition for Halloween that I stick to most of the time. It’s watching Halloween, always the original, on Halloween. It isn’t the scariest movie of all time but it has a definite creepy factor mixed with a great theme song. Thank you, John Carpenter! Any Michael Myers fans out…

My Top Five International Picks On Netflix
Some people hate reading subtitles during movies or shows. Personally speaking, I don’t mind reading subtitles as long as it isn’t all of the time. You definitely have to be in the mood to watch a movie or show while reading subtitles. Netflix has a vast array of international shows and movies to choose from. Listed below are my top five favorites found on Netflix. “Audience can live without a movie but a movie cannot live without an audience.” Amit Kalantri, Wealth of Words Cinderella and the Four Knights Eun Ha-won is a bright high school senior who dreams of becoming a teacher. Unfortunately, she loses her mother in a…

Preakness Surprise
This is the first year that I actually paid attention to the Kentucky Derby, etc. and placed bets. The first round didn’t work out so well for me. The second round almost ended well. I bet on Rombauer. Seeing him speed past Midnight Bourbon and Medina Spirit was a thrill and threw me out of my seat when he was so far behind! I’m so happy for Rombauer but my bet on Rombauer was an exacta box bet, which means it didn’t work out for me winning anything. Epic fail! Up next is Belmont. We are about 3 weeks away from the final race(s) of this once a year event.…

Arrow Actor – Code 8
Arrow eventually came to an end, which was upsetting for most if not all fans. The series had a good run. Unfortunately, we missed seeing Emily Bett Rickards’s character, Felicity Smoak, in the final season of Arrow. Luckily, we were able to see her in the final episode! Not being able to see Felicity throughout the last season was one of the biggest let downs. She left for good reason, though, to pursue her acting career further. Trying to locate other TV shows or movies with Arrow, Stephen Amell, playing in it? Check out Code 8. It’s available on Netflix. Not only is Stephen Amell a main character but so…

WCTH Season 9 Theories
Okay, Hearties, When Calls the Heart season 8 ended with a bang! Elizabeth finally chose! It feels like the Hearties have been waiting 10 years for this moment. Jack will forever remain a favorite but with him gone Elizabeth can’t pick him. Instead she has been torn between Nathan and Lucas. Her heart tugged her back and forth between the two. Perhaps she was afraid of choosing the wrong person, which makes it all the more realistic. *Warning* Spoilers ahead! Proceed with caution. You have been warned, Hearties! I am neither solely Team Lucas nor Team Nathan. Elizabeth’s relationship or possible future relationship with either of them seemed that it…

Shadow and Bone Released From the Shadows
So, it happened. I finally took the plunge and watched Shadow and Bone on Netflix. However, I haven’t read the books even though they’re really popular. What can I say about this new book to screen series? Don’t worry, spoiler free here! But I will say this… Mal gets on my nerves at times. Alina is definitely one of my favorites. Genya is precious and needs to remain in a bubble. The Darkling needs to forever exist in this series or the ship (non-existent or not) will sink (possibly get hit by an iceberg first) and this fangirl’s heart will shatter. Hopefully, Netflix is listening. Also, The Crows, especially Inej,…
