All the Bright Places
Netflix released All the Bright Places February 28th, 2020. The movie is based on the novel All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. It is surely a movie for John Green fans. If John Green, author of The Fault In Our Stars, watched All the Bright Places and wasn’t impressed then I would be shocked.
Meet Violet Markey, played by Elle Fanning. Violet is just a girl in a big world that met unfortunate circumstances and is full of more grief than one person should have to deal with. Meet Theodore Finch, played by Justice Smith. Theodore had to grow up too soon and has his own plate of unfortunate circumstances. By chance Violet and Theodore meet. Theodore saves Violet upon meeting, though Violet doesn’t realize just how much saving she needs.
All the Bright Places was recently released so I won’t spoil the film for those who haven’t seen it. The film touches on the reality of depression and grief, which the actors and everyone else involved in this Netflix film did a great job.
