V’s Cafe Moves Into Town

Have you ever gotten co-workers stuck on one of your favorite takeout meals? It happened to me with lo mein from Best Wok. It has now happened again with the club sandwich from a new hotspot for food. It all started with a basic group text message over the weekend with a picture of the sandwich.

This foodie finally visited said hotspot. V’s Café is a new treat for St. John! It’s not another coffee shop. Instead it is a quaint restaurant café style. There is seating inside and outside. It is nestled on Carrollwood, located across the street from the Medicine Shoppe’s new location. Currently the café is decorated for St. Patrick’s Day, complete with a St. Patrick’s Day tree. Food choices on the menu include but are not limited to breakfast, sandwiches, hamburgers, appetizers, beignets, snowballs, ice cream (blue bell, of course!), banana split and their ever popular milkshakes. I have yet to try their milkshakes but they appear to be very unique. Some locals have said that you have to wait a bit for one but that it is well worth the wait. Either way, they definitely look amazing! Also, don’t forget to check out the workman’s lunch special! 

Last but not least! The Club Sandwich Box comes with a club sandwich and a side. The sandwich includes ham, turkey, roast beef, bacon, american cheese, swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato. It can be customized to your liking. The box also includes a side. Bonus: If you choose fries they are waffle fries!

Locally, Mabile’s and Stop & Save make some of the best club sandwiches but V’s Café is on the list for best club sandwiches as well now.

Looks like St. John restaurants have new competition!
