Hashimoto’s Reality
Hypothyroidism is no joke. It needs to be treated as soon as possible before it gets out of hand. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in my 20s. Fast forward to my 30s, hashimoto’s disease has now been disagnosed due to high TPO Antibodies. I was never checked for hashimoto’s until recently so I don’t know how long it’s been having a party in this body. Getting blood tests done and having a feeling of knowing that something is wrong is bad enough. Finding out that your own body is attacking its self is earth shattering. The day I got my results I understood why so many people have emotional breakdowns…

Making Time As a Bookworm
A while back there were quite a few people in the reading community asking other readers (otherwise known as bookworms) how they make time for reading. Amongst that was also the topic of self care and social media burnout. Before adulting happens (unfortunately it does happen!) the life of a bookworm is filled with libraries, bookstores, book clubs, etc. No matter how hectic your schedule is there is always a way to make time for reading as well. Not to mention being able to read for 12 hours straight or longer! Bathroom and meal breaks are allowed, of course. Let’s not forget parents having too much concern about too much…

Ten Mishaps During Covid Quarantine
Covid-19 isn’t fun and we can talk about symptoms, what people are doing and aren’t doing, treatments and long term issues until we are blue in the face. How about something to lighten that “covid mood”? Here is a list of 10 awful yet amusing things that have happened to me while dealing with covid. In an attempt to stay away from anyone else in the house I washed my covid clothes at night. Unfortunately, that also resulted in some clothes being dyed dark blue. Isolating to one room is often the best thing to do when infected with covid. However, a power strip that is full of electronics plugged…

Guess Who Is Back?!?
Jenna is back! For those of you following, you already know that I’ve been down with Covid. I was recently retested after being quarantined for two weeks. Trying to patiently wait for the result! It’s nerve wracking waiting for an e-mail that says whether you test positive or negative for Covid. When I originally got the positive result via e-mail it was as if I just got notified of having another life threatening disease. Tears struck and all I could think of was my Mother. Second thought was “Why me?“. For a list of some of my symptoms check out the Covid Care post. Incase you didn’t already know… Covid…

Covid Reaction
Opinions are strictly my own. Vaccines are being done all over yet Covid cases are on the rise again, which leaves us to ponder why. The idea behind the vaccine is that people who get it won’t end up in the hospital and the chances of getting it are decreased. It is similar to the flu shot. It does not make you immune but hopefully will keep the amount of cases controlled. Side effects are another topic altogether. So, why are cases still rising? Possibly new strains that aren’t covered by the vaccine. People aren’t treating this virus as serious as it is. Lack of wearing masks and social distancing…

Health Insurance Problems
While many people seem to rave about Obamacare/Marketplace Health Insurance I have never experienced anything good with said insurance. Prior to Obamacare my health insurance premium was $90 per month with a $5,000 hospital deductible. General Doctor visits were $25 and generic prescription medications were $5. When Obamacare came out the cost of insurance increased to over $400 per month for myself. The amount of coverage decreased by half and I could not see almost any Doctor that I wanted to see. Since then I have been without insurance. My Mother had Obamacare for 1 1/2 years. Between premiums, co-pays, etc. she dumped $30,000 into Obamacare with horrific coverage. Prior…
