Over the weekend I was trying to find something different to watch on Netflix. What felt like an hour later (you know you spend forever searching at times also!), Close was the selected movie for the night. Close is a Netflix Original movie. It was released January 18th, 2019. Noomi Rapace stars as Sam, bodyguard extraordinaire. She is hired to protect an heiress on the run from assassins. Fans of the book series A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACoTaR) or the author of said book series, Sarah J. Maas, have been on the edge of their seat as they waited for today to arrive. A Court of Silver Flames, the fourth book in the ACoTaR series, was finally released today! Fans can rejoice as February 16th has finally arrived. Fate: The Winx Saga is one of Netflix’s most popular series as of late. Contrary to what it might seem, Fate is not based on a book series. It’s based on Winx Club, a Nickelodeon cartoon, but don’t let that stray you away from Fate. It definitely isn’t a TV show meant for little kids. It carries a TV-MA rating. Fans of period movies and books were ecstatic to find out that Bridgerton was coming to Netflix. It’s not that often a good period piece is released that isn’t in book format. Pride and Prejudice, anyone? Bookworms and movie fans alike have always debated on their favorite actress that played Elizabeth Bennet. My personal favorite is Keira Knightley. Sabrina Comes to an End
Unfortunately, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina came to an end due to being canceled. Netflix released the final season on December 31st, 2020. It is unknown as to why the show was canceled. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina had a good fan base just as Shadowhunters did, yet they were canceled as well. *Warning* Spoilers ahead! Proceed with caution. During my zombie book phase I saved a bunch of zombie themed books to my TBR (to be read) list, including the first book of The Starborn Saga by Jason D. Marrow. Out of Darkness is set in a dark dystopian world, but is a little unique in its book theme. Not only does it have zombies, but it also includes characters with super powers.
