Home & Family Canceled
A lot of shows cancel when we least expect it, especially good ones. The latest show that is set to cancel is Hallmark’s Home & Family. A very, very poor decision in my opinion. It looks like the Hallmark channel doesn’t realize the amount of viewers they are losing as well. Some people have decided to not support Hallmark after this bold move. My Mother is one of those people. She has chosen to continue to watch Home & Family but will not be watching anything Hallmark related. She has already banned Hallmark altogether aside from Home & Family. Home & Family is a very rare show that isn’t a…

Guess Who Is Back?!?
Jenna is back! For those of you following, you already know that I’ve been down with Covid. I was recently retested after being quarantined for two weeks. Trying to patiently wait for the result! It’s nerve wracking waiting for an e-mail that says whether you test positive or negative for Covid. When I originally got the positive result via e-mail it was as if I just got notified of having another life threatening disease. Tears struck and all I could think of was my Mother. Second thought was “Why me?“. For a list of some of my symptoms check out the Covid Care post. Incase you didn’t already know… Covid…

Covid Reaction
Opinions are strictly my own. Vaccines are being done all over yet Covid cases are on the rise again, which leaves us to ponder why. The idea behind the vaccine is that people who get it won’t end up in the hospital and the chances of getting it are decreased. It is similar to the flu shot. It does not make you immune but hopefully will keep the amount of cases controlled. Side effects are another topic altogether. So, why are cases still rising? Possibly new strains that aren’t covered by the vaccine. People aren’t treating this virus as serious as it is. Lack of wearing masks and social distancing…

Three Shows Syfy Shouldn’t Have Canceled
There is a mile long list of shows that have been canceled but shouldn’t have been based on popularity alone. In particular there are three shows on the Syfy network that were canceled too soon and have (yes, have) a large fanbase. Without further ado… Wynonna Earp Modern day meets western with Wyatt Earp’s great granddaughter as a main character and you’ve got a good story idea already. After throwing in demons, an angel, a half human-half lizard… well, you’ve got a good Syfy cocktail! Wynonna Earp fans are currently in the fight to keep the show going. It was supposed to be canceled after season three but fans fought…

Ruby Lifetime Special
Fans of V.C Andrews shatter with excitement whenever a V.C. Andrews book series is brought to the screen, thanks to the Lifetime channel. The most recent movie series that aired on Lifetime was the Landry series. The Landry series goes back in time to an older setting in New Orleans, LA. Anyone who really knows me knows that I’m not a fan of New Orleans, LA. However, I do love the style and culture of New Orleans, LA. from generations (and then some) ago. Expect plenty of greegree with the Landry’s! *Warning* Spoilers ahead! Proceed with caution. In true V.C. Andrews fashion the Landry series is complete with shocking secrets,…

Who Has the Better Shrimp Po’boy?
A lot of people that live in the deep southern part of Louisiana have eaten at or at least heard of Kenner Seafood. Kenner Seafood sells fresh and live seafood, but also has dine in eating. They have an extensive menu of favorite Louisiana seafood dishes. Not interested in seafood? Don’t worry, they have you covered with chicken and pasta dishes. The seating area is the perfect environment for a Louisiana style seafood restaurant, especially the outdoor seating. The service was also excellent! Mabile’s is one the most popular places to eat in LaPlace, LA. when it comes to po’boys. It’s local and they serve great food. Not to mention…

V’s Cafe Moves Into Town
Have you ever gotten co-workers stuck on one of your favorite takeout meals? It happened to me with lo mein from Best Wok. It has now happened again with the club sandwich from a new hotspot for food. It all started with a basic group text message over the weekend with a picture of the sandwich. This foodie finally visited said hotspot. V’s Café is a new treat for St. John! It’s not another coffee shop. Instead it is a quaint restaurant café style. There is seating inside and outside. It is nestled on Carrollwood, located across the street from the Medicine Shoppe’s new location. Currently the café is decorated for…

Podcast: Bridge To Better
Hey Readers, Just dropping a quick post today. I stumbled across a new podcast or new to me at least. Bridge To Better is not your typical podcast. It brings people together from different walks of life with different opinions but bypasses the drama that is typical on social media, the news, etc. It is raw and opens us up to everyday people instead of only Hollywood. Guests can be anonymous or choose to use their real name. I love the purpose of Bridge To Better and hope to see it become well known by all. Have a favorite podcast?
