    The Perfect Heist

If you haven’t seen Money Heist on Netflix yet then you might be missing out. While Money Heist is popular it took me a long time to cave into watching it because it honestly seemed like more hype than anything else. Upon starting the series I also discovered this isn’t a new TV series, nope, not even close. It has four seasons so far! So far, I’ve only seen the first season. Money Heist is somewhat what it sounds like. The good guys can be the bad guys and the bad guys can be the good guys… and Tokyo isn’t just a city. There are many characters, each with their…

    First Time Shipt User

Due to COVID-19 grocery pickup and deliveries have become very popular. Looks like Amazon has a lot more competition in the grocery department these days! Grocery shopping inside of a store is definitely not on my to do list. I have been using grocery pickup a lot. Shipt and Instacart are very popular subscription services for grocery deliveries. I finally caved and decided to try one. According to a lot of talk on the internet most people say Instacart has more hidden fees compared to Shipt. In light of that I opted for Shipt. Shopping online with Shipt was similar to shopping online with Walmart and the local grocery store…

    Dunkin Drink Inspiration

On one of Dunkin’s instagram stories yesterday a Dunkin’ worker created a smoothie, or what I like to call not so aqua, using Dunkin’ coffee. So, in light of that post I made a little creation before going to work. I used the single serving cup that attaches to a Ninja blender. Ingredients: 1/2 Frozen banana 1/4 Cup cold brew coffee 2 Tablespoons ChocZero chocolate syrup 2 Splashes Nutpods french vanilla oat creamer 4 – 5 Ice cubes 1/4 Cup milk (optional) The recipe is very simple. Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until desired consistency. For the cold brew coffee I used instant coffee mixed…

    Oat Trail Game Changer

Nutpods completely saved me when I was searching for a dairy free and sugar free creamer for coffee, etc. My favorite is hazelnut because… well, who doesn’t like hazelnut? Also, hazelnut helps to cover up how overpowering the coconut flavor can be at times. The original flavor works great when making various soups that require cream. Recently Nutpods joined the Oat Milk trail craze. After a lot of debating I caved and ordered the Oat Creamer Variety Pack, which consists of an original flavor and a french vanilla flavor. Over the weekend I tried french vanilla in a cup of regular coffee. Wow, what a game changer! Not only did…

    Sometimes It’s Worth It

To all of you that work in customer service in some shape or form, you all understand what it’s like when a lot of customers can be mean and sometimes treat you like dirt. Dealing with customers like that can sometimes give you feelings of not wanting to go into work some days. One simple action made today, at the very least, worth it. We have been calling older customers, checking in on them due to COVID-19. Yesterday the office received a letter from one of those older customers. It was a full page, handwritten and all. He stated that one of the ladies in the office called him, informed…

    Easter Vibes

Hope everyone’s Easter and any other holiday you celebrate went well this past weekend! My weekend involved a backyard sunburn, Easter cooking, laundry and Xbox time. Every year for Easter I always dye eggs, whether they’re used for an egg hunt, games or for eating. This year I didn’t have to do anything to the eggs after boiling them. The process was almost the same. Place the eggs in a pot of water with a cloth (to help prevent cracking) and bring to a boil. About twenty minutes later dyed eggs were discovered… complete with markings as well! The lazy hack for dying eggs seems to be placing a Christmas…

    Wednesday Giveaway

Hey Everyone! Now is the perfect time to catch up on some reading, at least it is for those that are quarantined. So, in light of the quarantine today is going to be Wednesday Giveaway. Up for grabs is Scratch by David Dugas Jr. in e-book format for the kindle e-reader. Does anyone else miss the old kindles or is that just me? The current kindle seems to be more of a tablet than an e-reader. To enter, check out the giveaway post…

    Closing Time

It is with great sadness that my local Dunkin’ has chosen to close down. Frozen Coffee Friday won’t be the same. The COVID-19 pandemic needs to speed up the healing pace so many of our favorite places can reopen again. The delivery option is great for foodies until food places start shutting down. Twiddling our thumbs patiently will have to do. At least the employees can get a break from the proximity of each other. Today has both ups and downs. Dunkin’ temporarily closed but there is good news on Yong Mi’s end. For those of you that don’t already follow, Yong Mi is new to the fitness community and…

    Dear Me

Dear 13 Year Old Me, Life will put you through many trials and tribulations. There will be many paths to take. You put a lot of faith and trust in people. Don’t expect the same thing of people that you are willing to give. You are unique in the things you like and your thought process. Don’t let the opinions of others change that. Be you and only you. Life will be hard but it will also prepare you for harder moments in your future. If you can learn to put your trust in only those that are worth it, be confident and always be yourself then there is much…

    Weekend Quarantine

Quarantine is starting to drive extroverts crazy. However, introverts are in their happy place. I am definitely an introvert. Quarantine has proved useful this weekend between getting a lot of things done in the house and dipping back into some old hobbies. Making strawberry preserves was the first old hobby that was found again. The last time I made strawberry preserves it was the no sugar route, which consisted of strawberries and chia seeds. This time it was frozen strawberries and pure honey (to replace sugar). While pure honey is still sweet it isn’t quite as bad as sugar and does have nutritional value. What is something other than biscuits…
